Mr. Iacono has over twenty seven years of experience in capital markets and public companies and has raised more than three billion dollars for numerous natural resource projects internationally. He is currently the Executive Co-Chairman and a director of Pacific Rubiales, Pacific Coal Resources Ltd. and Gran Colombia Gold and the Interim President and Chief Executive Officer and a director of Medoro Resources Ltd. Mr. Iacono was also a co-founder of Bolivar Gold Corp, Pacific Stratus Energy among others and is involved in numerous resource and business ventures in Latin America, Canada and United States.
Miguel de la Campa (Co-Chairman and Executive Director) co-founder of Pacific Rubiales Energy.
Mr. de la Campa has been involved in the financing and development of mining, oil and other resource projects in the United States, Latin America, Europe and Africa for the last thirty years. Mr. de la Campa is currently the Executive Co-Chairman and a director of Pacific Rubiales, Pacific Coal Resources Ltd. and Gran Colombia Gold Corp. He is also an Executive Director and director of Medoro Resources Ltd. Previously, Mr. de la Campa was the President and co-founder of Bolivar Gold Corp. and a co-founder of Pacific Stratus Energy. He holds a BSFS in International Economics and a Masters Degree in Political Economics from Georgetown University.
Ronald Pantin (Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director) co-founder of Pacific Rubiales Energy.
Mr. Pantin worked in the Venezuelan oil industry for twenty-four years prior to founding Pacific Rubiales. Mr. Pantin has held a number of senior positions within Petroleos de Venezuela (“PDVSA”), most recently being President of PDVSA Services. Immediately after PDVSA, Mr. Pantin was President of Enron Venezuela. He began his professional career with Maraven, where he held a variety of positions including Exploration & Production Planning Manager, Petroleum Engineering Manager, Treasurer, Operations Manager in the Production Division, and Corporate Planning Manager.
José Francisco Arata (President and Executive Director) co-founder of Pacific Rubiales Energy.
Mr. Arata has over twenty-nine years of experience in mineral and oil exploration in Latin America. He began his professional career with Maraven, an affiliate of PDVSA, where he held a variety of positions within the Exploration & Production Department. He has been working in the Colombian oil industry since 1996 and he was CEO and co-founder of Pacific Stratus Energy and a co-founder of Bolivar Gold Corp.
Germán Efromovich (Director)
Mr. Efromovich is an entrepreneur and currently is the head of the Synergy Group of Companies. Mr. Efromovich was a director of PF One, the company that operated the Rubiales field before selling that interest to the Company. He is a director of Avianca, S.A., Colombia’s national airline, and OceanAir.
Neil Woodyer (Director)
Mr. Woodyer was the founding partner of Endeavour Group in 1988. He is CEO of Endeavour Mining and is responsible for implementing the corporation's strategic growth plan and coordinating and directing the entire management and professional team. Mr. Woodyer has over thirty years of experience in the mining sector developing, implementing and financing strategic growth plans. Mr. Woodyer has served as director on several resource company boards and is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.
Augusto López (Director)
Mr. Lopez has over forty years experience in various capacities, most recently as President at Bavaria, S.A. which is Colombia’s largest beverage maker. He has also held senior positions with Bavaria’s investment company and Avianca, S.A. Mr. Lopez is an electrical engineer and serves on the boards of numerous public and private South American companies.
Miguel Rodríguez (Lead Independent Director)
Mr. Rodriguez has extensive experience in the private, public and academic sectors. He has served as Chairman of Astra Fund and Incofin, Inc., both part of the Davos Financial Group, and is a Professor of Economics at the Venezuelan Institute for Advanced Studies in Administration. In addition to consulting and advisory roles for the public sector, Mr. Rodriguez has previously acted as the President of the Central Bank of Venezuela and served as Governor to the Interamerican Development Bank, the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund.
Donald Ford (Director)
Mr. Ford is a Retired Chartered Accountant. Mr. Ford has previously served as an officer and/or director of a number of public companies, including Bolivar Goldfields, Chivor Emerald Company Ltd. and Gran Colombia Resources, among others. He spent 11 years as a senior financial executive for British Petroleum’s Canadian mining operations.
Victor Rivera (Director)
Mr. Rivera is a petroleum engineer with over thirty-four years of experience in the Colombian hydrocarbon exploration and production sector. Previously, Mr. Rivera has served as President and CEO of Hocol S.A. for a number of years as well as High Commissioner for the Protection of Energy Infrastructure for the Colombian government.
John Zaozirny (Director)
Mr. Zaozirny was Counsel to the law firm of McCarthy Tetrault LLP from 1987 to 2008. He has served as Vice-Chairman of Canaccord Genuity or its predecessors since 1996 and is also a director of Bankers Petroleum Ltd., Canadian Oil Sands Limited, Coastal Energy Company, Computer Modeling Group Ltd., Pengrowth Corporation, Provident Energy Ltd., TerraVest Income Fund, Petroamerica Oil Corp. and Estrella Energy Services Ltd. He is a Governor of the Business Council of British Columbia and recently retired as a member of The Law Societies of Alberta and British Columbia. Mr. Zaozirny was Minister of Energy and Natural Resources for the Province of Alberta from 1982 to 1986.
